Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal data. When you use our website and/or are in contact with us to order services, courses, or similar, we will process personal information about you. Here you will find information about the personal data we collect, why we do this, and your rights related to the processing of personal data.

The controller for the personal data we process is Puzzleparts' CEO.

Why do we collect personal data?

We collect and use your personal data for various purposes depending on who you are and how we come into contact with you. The processing of personal data is based on a balance of interests. We have assessed that the processing is necessary to provide you with the best possible support in an efficient and practical manner. This is an overview of the information we may process about you:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Billing address
  • Street address
  • IP address
  • Account number

The personal data is used in these contexts:

  • Processing orders for services, courses, and/or associated products.
  • Sending out information, invitations to events/customer seminars, courses, newsletters, and marketing.
  • Registration for courses, webinars, user forums, and other events.
  • Responding to inquiries we receive.
  • Recruitment for vacancies. Here, we will collect more personal information than mentioned above. This may include application, CV, certificates/diplomas, personality/aptitude tests, internal assessments, interview notes, background checks, and references.
  • To collect information about the use of Puzzlepart.com, we use cookies. Read more about cookies at the bottom of the text.

Disclosure of personal data to others (data processing agreements)

We do not pass on your personal data to others unless there is a legal basis for such disclosure. Examples of such a basis would typically be an agreement with you or a legal basis that obliges us to disclose the information, e.g., accounting laws. We use data processors and their tools to collect, store, or otherwise process personal data on our behalf. In such cases, we have entered into agreements to ensure information security at all stages of processing. We currently use the following data processors:

  • Microsoft Dynamics (ERP system). This is used for Assist (service management) services and registration for events, courses, etc. The information is used to manage registrations and evaluate the event, and to invite to new courses and conduct marketing.
  • Microsoft 365 (customer surveys). We usually conduct anonymous customer surveys, but may also request personal information in some cases to follow up on responses and request evaluations.

Storage period

We store your personal data with us as long as it is necessary for the purpose the personal data was collected for. Personal data we process to fulfill an agreement with you is deleted when the agreement is fulfilled and all obligations following the contract relationship are met. Personal data that we process based on your consent is deleted if you withdraw your consent. Exceptions to this are when other legislation obliges us to retain the information. We have a specific deletion routine that explains how data should be deleted for the various tools we use. For certain types of processing of personal data, where third party is not involved, we retain the information for the following time period:

  • For recruitment, the information is stored until the recruitment process is completed, or consent is withdrawn.
  • For general inquiries to us, the information is stored until consent is positively withdrawn. The processing is based on a balance of interests in relation to subsequent inquiries and/or further inquiries on the same topic.

Your rights when we process personal data about you

You have the right to request access, rectification, or deletion of the personal data Puzzlepart processes about you. You also have the right to demand limited processing, object to the processing, and demand the right to data portability (i.e., you can be provided with your personal data and reuse it as you wish across different services and systems). You can read more about the content of these rights on the Norwegian Data Protection Authority's website: www.datatilsynet.no. To exercise your rights, you must contact Puzzlepart. We will respond to your inquiry as quickly as possible, and no later than within 30 days. We will ask you to confirm your identity or to provide further information before we allow you to exercise your rights towards us. This is to ensure that we only give access to your personal data to you, and not someone pretending to be you. You can withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data with us at any time. The easiest way to do this is to contact us.

Complaints

If you believe that our processing of personal data does not match what we have described here or that we otherwise violate the privacy legislation, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. You can find information on how to contact the Norwegian Data Protection Authority on www.datatilsynet.no.

Changes

Should there be changes to our services or changes in the regulations regarding the processing of personal data, it may lead to changes in the information in this text. If we have your contact details, we will notify you of these changes.
